Catherine’s depiction of Blizzy makes me feel proud that I was a part of his journey.

It allows my former pet to remain a daily part of my life.

I have several pieces from Catherine in my home, each meaning something different to me. But each was created with such love and dedication and attention to detail. I’m so lucky to know her and to have her work in my home.

To read Catherine Tran’s work, especially her zine The Grace of Gravity, is to be drawn into the rational and creative world via delightful pathways.

Her work bears the simplicity of self through which we recognize our own life journeys and also the surprise of understandings one does not see coming. It is a work not to be read but experienced.

I have the honor of doing craft days with Catherine. We enjoy decorating a mess across her dining room table, exchanging stories, and tasting meals that she so graciously makes for everyone. Her love is poured into everything she creates and writes.

This is my favorite piece in one of her zines as it shows her humor and her beautiful writing skills.

My work doesn’t exist on its own — it lives in homes, hands, and moments of connection.

If a painting, zine, or piece of writing found a place in your life, you’re warmly invited to share what it meant to you.
